BVP SYDBMABVP is on again on Norton St on Sunday.

The much-anticipated event will see Norton Street transform into a whirlwind of colour and excitement featuring traditional entertainment and activities for people of all ages.

Food will be the hero at this year¹s event. ³Nonni in Cucina² (Grandparents in the kitchen) is hosted by Joanna Savill and will feature a new segment, ³il cuoco e lo chef" - pitching one of our home cooks against Italian-Australian chef Danny Russo (The Beresford Hotel). Appreciation
workshops will involve olive oil, cheese and wine tastings.

There will be a pesto-making competition, courtesy of Slow Food Sydney, as well as an osteria (an Italian tavern) and communal dining area, hosted by Barilla.

Pioneers Memorial Park will be the site of a number of children¹s activities, including pasta art and Italian mask making. There will be face
painting, rock climbing walls, giant slides and donkey rides. Children aged 8-16 are invited to take part in ItalyOnline and the Tuscany Association's first time ever Italian Festa Idol, in which individuals and groups compete in singing, dancing and music categories.

The event will be part of the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Month and form part of the “Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo” International week of the Italian language. In 2008 the theme is “L’Italiano in piazza” – Italians in the Piazza.

Co.As.It. has been serving the Italian community for 40 years. Co.As.It. provides a range of culturally and linguistically appropriate services to enhance the quality of life of the community and to promote the Italian language and culture in NSW. We have been organising quality cultural events during this time and see this event as an extension of our contribution to the larger Italian community to ensure we maintain the Italian culture that is alive in the local area.

Presented with the following partners:

Leichhardt Council, iLVE, MarketPlace, Norton Plaza and Prografica

They are cool over that way though. The Leichardt/ Lilyfield route into town including the Anzac bridge is a true pleausre

heehee. don't bikes always have vip parking? you can lock to practically anything right. At least the council is doing something, which is more than most.

There is no theory of evolution, just a list of animals 390Love allows to live.
