fuck...fucking fuck....
i'm just concluding some legal bullshit with a driver who hit me intentionally having driven around looking for me for 10 minutes following a verbal altercation that just stemmed from my being "too far from the curb"
i'm super fucking lucky that only my bike was destroyed in this incident and this story drives that home again super fucking hard.
dude was charged with hazardous driving and failure to remain at scene...luckily i had a good witness at least the last part so those charges stuck. sadly, not having a witness to the earlier contact between me and mr mike rychliski(sp?) it impossible to prove anything towards assault with weapon. fun part is, i see this douche around town still rockin' his daddies truck and all i want to do is...not incriminate myself in case i give in to a certain urge...
yes, this case makes me damned sad, but pisses me off just as much!
wtf makes this shit okay in the heads of these fuckers?!?!?!?!?!?
apologies if this comes up twice, i think the first time i neglected to hit 'reply all'
peas out.

That is crazy. Glad to see your ok. There's no telling how many other guys/gals this jerk has had altercations with. I'm glad that your sticking it to him.
I don't know if I could resist the urge to pound that dude into a bloody puree of skin and bones. He really meant to do you bodily harm and that is unforgivable and warrants a beat down without repercussions.
Here are the latest on this sad case of Road Rage.

Yep that was just down the road from me.
Every messenger in Toronto that watched the news was freaking out because it looked like a well known bike messengers bike and hat that was lying on the ground (they still woulda freaked out if it didn't look like a messenger.)
There was even non messengers coming to the courier hangout coffee shop asking if it was him... Yikes.
Also In Toronto earlier that week a turning Bus driver ran over a pedestrian while she was crossing at a pedestrian crossing (ironic). The bus driver had no idea and just kept driving while the pedestrians head was stuck and crushed in the wheel arch. The bus driver kept driving until people on the sidewalk managed to get the ignorant fuckwit school bus drivers attention.

Another accident also made the newspaper on that very same day. A woman died on the way to her husbands funeral when an alfa romeo ran up the back of the hearse. She was killed when she got hit by her husbands coffin.

Here's some support and advice from Glasgow.
hello all
i watched that pedal documentary and theres one bit where they are talking to squid and hes like, "someone cuts me off and i used to flip em the bird or spit on em, but now ill give em a big grin and throw em the peace sign" or something like that.
so i know its easy to get pissed off with folks in cars being stupid and/or assholes all day and retaliate by spitting, swearing, or a spot of wingmirror removal etc. shit it might feel good if your fucking raging to blow off some steam to get in a fight or whatever, right. okay thats one way to go about it but consider this. get all bhuddist jedi on their asses.
being angry sucks, it makes you do shit that you regret and that make you a dick. i know this. like at the end of a bad day someone will be pumping their horn at me and ill be like "right thats fucking it, get ready for a beatdown" then they pull up next to me and ill be ready to unleash hellfire and its my fucking auntie saying hello, out for her afternoon drive or whatever.
theres other options. just try to keep cool. if someone sceams past you or gives you shit or whatever, just catch them up at the light and instead of losing your rag and bashing their car, politely engage them in conversation to let them know what they did wrong or why they shouldnt get mad. a lot of people dont expect this reasonable aproach, are shocked by it and, end up being sorry, shit most of the time theyre having a bad day too. ultimately leaves everyone less angry/injured/in jail/dead than the other obvious approach. plus if it all works out nicely you feel like a fucking jedi or something.
its like jorg said, he got in fights with guys that ended in handshakes. my mate told me a story that he was coming home pished one night and he flipped some lorry the bird. so the guy chased him for ages shouting from the window and shit eventually mounted the pavement throught some pedestrian section and jumped out and started chasing him on foot. my mate, realising what a crazy motherfucker he was dealing with circled round and said "sorry mate, i was only having a laugh" the driver was like ok, cool. got in the lorry and drove away.
moral is, you just dont know if who you get in a fight with is going to jump on your head till you stop moving. but also that most people are up for being civil if you give it a chance.
hope this ramble makes sense and is mildly entertaining
